Figures of Speech c/o Virgil Abloh

Fashion designer, Virgil Abloh’s first solo exhibition “Figures of Speech”, held at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in 2019. Katie Geppert was commissioned to recreate the large mural at the exhibition’s entrance into watercolour paintings. Abloh printed the artwork onto fabric and designed clothing, bags, and accessories exclusively for display in the gift shop. The exhibition will travel to a number of cities in the USA and Europe.
